Sorry is but just a word!!

Sorry - On Australia DayImage by spud murphy via Flickr

I am a person who's always first to say a sorry. I always do that.
I am/was a person who can't/couldn't be angry with anyone for a long time...
Well I've seen people who make a lot of fuss when someone says a sorry to them...
And I've always wondered that why do people do so?

I used to think..if someone comes and says a sorry to me after doing a mistake..I'd surely not make a fuss and just be friends again because though am a single child I've never been pampered much ...and also have never been allowed to make a big fuss over things...

But now I feel sometimes even a sorry cannot make it all ok....Sometimes the wound still remains..
It's sometimes like any other word...It doesn't touch you always...

ps:) Am completely fyn....just a thought ...:):)

Sorry seems to be a misused word and the most disrespected word in any language.

Definitely sorry can't make things right unless it comes along with the acceptance of the mistake and the willingness to correct the mistake

Remember a dialogue in a tamil movie, "Manipu(tamil for sorry).... The only word I dont like in tamil...."

I agree with Suresh here... Sorry is a word which is misused and abused ample of times thus reducing the value it holds... or we can say emotions...

In my case... I say sorry and I mean it just like u but I have seen people not forgiving or acknowledging...

Let it be... ppl who dont understand u...dont deserve u.

dont be so sweet priya,i can definitely say may be in future u will make a fuss if some one says sorry after doing a mistake.

its just that the sorry which got up to now is for smaller mistakes which you r able to accept it...

Gal... 'Sorry' hamesha nahi kehte... So don't always be the first to say sorry... though its perfectly fine to be remorseful to your mistakes and if you realizes your fault then it is always right to say 'Sorry'... However, not all relations are 'angelic' in nature and sometimes you need to accept the reality of life... i.e. sometimes you need to maintain the upper hand.... :)

yeah.. sadly yeah.... :)

I read a similar post by Parul.. and i couldnt agree more... With some ppl, 'sorry' has no meaning...

Cheers..!!

I guess you can make out if the person actually means it when they say sorry... Most of the time, they don't ;)

thats so true priya...for some people its nothing but a word they utter irrespective of any realization and feeling of being guilty...and probably thats what makes forgiveness all the more difficult...

sorry...this i am saying as i was not able to come to ur blog from long time...and i mean my sorry ..

wat u said is true pj....sometimes we had to be the first to give the sorry ..but anyways the sorry is only valued only when the person understands the meaning of friendship :)..

I believe we forgive not for them, we forgive for ourselves in the first place... and if sometimes this word is just a word, it is important to let go of hurt and free yourself from it.

Hi:-)

First time here. I would say making a fuss in spite of the other person saying sorry is not the righteous thing to do. But when people don't make a fuss, but at the same time don't acknowledging the sorry, too can't be always blamed. Sometime people becoming too defensive or just trying to be extra polite use or rather overuse "sorry" so much that it does no longer hold its value. So, it is a responsibility from both the side to keep its worth.

I forgot to ask one more thing, I was about to use this new theme, so i was wondering can we change the header picture, have you tried whether we can put some of our own picture?

Whenever we/anyone say sorry it should be 'meant' with whole heart..They must be really 'sorry' ..If its used just for the sake of being sorry..Den its just a 'word'..nothing else..
Meanwhile...ther's no need to say sorry if that someone is really willing to correct the mistake..:))

As for those who make fuss abt things even after being askd for forgiveness..They r not worth it :)

There shouldn't be any fuss to say sorry or to accept an apology. Everyone makes mistaes and it takes a kind heart to go and frankly apologise and the same to forgive.

Btw, very nice lay out :)

Hi!

I don't think I am new to your site, but when I visited Lena's site, I remember you. I was just an amateur blogger then when i chanced upon your site, and that's through Lena again. I didn't know how to add blogs that I want to follow, but here I am now and I had just added you in my list.

If it's from Lena, it means you are one of them.

Please drop by my site sometime.

And I like your post here. Like you, I always make the effort to be the first one to say "I am sorry".

And I feel just fine after expressing it. Pity those who make a fuss of my honest effort.

Nice meeting one good blogger like you through Lena.

Have a nice day...:)
